Agricultural land

The FNU provides around 150 ha of agricultural land and meadows for research purposes.

Immediately adjacent to the FNU, a further 10 ha of meadow and 30 ha of arable land are available. Here, farming in accordance with organic farming standards ensures that the ideal conditions for environmental field tests are maintained.

A weather station on site further complements the experimental research taking place.

Suitable technology, here, for example, a sprinkler system for experimental plots.
In addition to goats, sheep, chickens and cows are occasionally used.

Livestock farming

In addition to the extensive possibilities for farming, the FNU provides facilities for the holding of small and large ruminants and poultry.

Stables, quarantine areas and experienced staff allow for a wide variety of experimental projects to be carried out.
